10.20.11C&R Hosted the 17th Annual “Fish & Fun” Tournament

C&R Mechanical Company hosted its 17th Annual Fish & Fun Tournament on Saturday, October 15th at The Flame Resort in Camdenton, MO.
The tournament had thirty-two fisherpersons (sixteen boats) once again this year. Participants included employees, vendors and customers. The tournament included a morning/afternoon of fishing, an awards/attendance prize ceremony and a buffet-style dinner. Others in attendance, who were not interested in fishing, took advantage of the many attractions that the Lake of the Ozarks has to offer.
George Edinger and Mike Adkinson were the first place winners this year. Mike Adkinson also took home the “Big Bass” prize for his four pound, six ounce, catch. Dan DeLonjay took the prize of largest “Odd Fish” for his three pound, three ounce catfish.
The weather was beautiful and a good time was had by all.
This tournament was funded solely from participant registration fees and donations from vendors and customers. 09.20.11C&R Mechanical Board of Directors Promotes Tim Decker to Executive Vice President

Bridgeton, MO, September 19, 2011 – George R. Edinger, Chairman and CEO, announced that the Board of Directors of C&R Mechanical Company has promoted Tim Decker to the position of Executive Vice President. He will be responsible for oversight of all construction activities (sales, pre-construction, and operations). He is also the design-build representative of the company and serves as the principal on all major Healthcare projects. Tim has extensive experience in many of the company’s major market segments, utilizing design-build, design-assist and plan & spec. delivery methods.
He is in his twenty-fifth year with C & R Mechanical Company, having joined the firm after graduating from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He has held a number of different positions within the company including design engineer, estimator and project manager and has served in a senior management capacity for over fifteen years.

Bridgeton, MO, August 15, 2011 – C&R Mechanical has been recognized by Ranken Jordan Pediatric Specialty Hospital’s FISH program for continuously providing superior customer service and supporting their organization through fundraisers and a variety of other events. Additionally, George Edinger, CEO, has served on Ranken Jordan’s Board of Directors for many years.
The FISH program is a customer service initiative (created by ChartHouse Learning) that is encouraged and promoted by Ranken Jordan. The program emphasizes superior service to patients, families, vendors and employees. The program is based on the following four principles: Be There, Play, Make Their Day and Choose Your Attitude.

C&R Mechanical has been recognized for mechanical engineering excellence with the ASHRAE TEGA Award by the St. Louis ASHRAE Chapter for design of the Sisters of Mercy Enterprise Data Center.

01.19.11C&R Mechanical Awarded New Centene Corporation IT Renaissance Data Center Project

C&R Mechanical Company has been awarded the mechanical installation contract on the new Centene Corporation IT Renaissance Data Center Project in O’Fallon, MO, by CLAYCO, whom is serving as the construction manager for the project. Work for this new project began in December of 2010 with scheduled completion May 2011. Mechanical scope includes installation of air and water chillers, cooling tower, pumps, heat exchanger and air handling units for under-floor air distribution on the data floor.

01.17.11Greg Harrop joins C&R as Project Executive-Industrial Sales

Greg Harrop has joined C&R Mechanical Company as a Project Executive. Harrop will focus on Industrial market business development and sales for C&R. Currently he oversees projects underway at Boeing, Ameren, Covidien and Monsanto. Prior to joining C&R, Harrop was with MC Industrial and Condaire Mechanical Company in St. Louis, working extensively in the Automotive, Power Generation, and High Purity markets.
Harrop earned his Bachelor’s in Construction Management from the Engineering School at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. He has been an instructor for the MCA of Eastern Missouri, and served four years as an Adjunct Professor for Mechanical Systems study at SIUE

09.17.10C&R Mechanical Awarded Thomson Reuters P&C Optimization Project

C&R Mechanical Company has been awarded the mechanical contract on the Power and Cooling (P&C) Optimization Project at the Thomson Reuters existing data center in Hazelwood, MO. This $2.0 million mechanical infrastructure upgrade project began in September of 2010 and is slated for completion in April of 2011. Project scope includes installation of chilled water in-row coolers within the live and operational data center. Overhead air distribution will be added as well.
Tishman, a New York, NY based general contractor, serves as the construction manager on this project and idGroup, an engineering firm based out of Boston, MA, is responsible for the design.

C&R Mechanical Company hosted its 16th Annual Fish & Fun Tournament on Saturday, September 25th at The Flame Resort in Camdenton, MO.
This year, thirty-two fisherpersons participated (sixteen boats). Participants included employees, vendors and customers. The tournament included a morning/afternoon of fishing, an awards and attendance prize ceremony and a buffet-style dinner. Others in attendance, who were not interested in fishing, enjoyed an afternoon golf outing or took advantage of the many attractions that the Lake of the Ozarks has to offer.
Ken Hartmann and Ken Talley were our tournament winners this year and Greg Naes took home the “Big Bass” prize for his six pound, four ounce, catch.
Although the fisherpersons reported that they would’ve liked to have had a few more bass on the line, the weather was beautiful and a good time was had by all.
This tournament was funded solely from participant registration fees and donations from vendors and customers.

09.02.10George Edinger Awarded 2010 Al Fleischer Pride Management Award

George R. Edinger, President and CEO of C&R Mechanical Company, was awarded the 2010 Al Fleischer Pride Management Award on September 2, 2010. Pride is a long standing local organization that works to improve relations between Labor and Construction Management. For years, George has been an active volunteer member of Pride, representing SMACNA – St. Louis, and has participated in a number of initiatives aimed at keeping St. Louis an attractive, competitive market for owners to locate and expand their businesses.
Congratulations are extended to George for this noteworthy achievement and the recognition that he has deservedly received from the St. Louis construction industry.

08.01.10C&R Mechanical Names John Eilerman President

John A. Eilerman has been named President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Eilerman was formerly Executive Vice President and began his career with C&R in 1985. He holds an undergraduate degree from St. Louis University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
George R. Edinger will remain in the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Edinger had been President of the company since 1975.
“C&R has always been an industry leader since its beginning in 1950 and these changes are the first among others that will keep us positioned for further growth and expansion,” said C&R Chairman George Edinger. “The proof is in our people. We have always been and remain committed to our customers and our employees. We will continue to provide comfortable, easily maintained building environments for our clients, in addition to designing and building complex, critical facility and industrial process systems.”
