Safety
Safety is part of our culture at C&R and we begin each work day by preplanning activities through our own customized preplanning program we refer to as Task Hazard Analysis.
Our tradesman, managers, and engineers have all been trained at a minimum level of the OSHA 10 Hour Training Program and many of our general foreman and project managers have completed the OSHA 30 Hour training program.
Safety training, implementation, and oversight are monitored by our full time Safety Director, Fritz Hoffmeister, who brings these credentials to each project we build:
- OSHA 500 Trainer Certification
- OSHA Authorized Outreach Instructor
- ISO Auditor
- MS in Environmental Health from the University of Missouri
C&R Mechanical Company's commitment to safety makes us more productive and reduces costs as we annually post Incidence Rates, Lost Time, and an EMR below the industry average for all of our work classifications.

"Safety is about preplanning. Without preplanning, safety would never come through like it needs to because of the schedules and the situations we get ourselves into. I think that is the biggest thing we can do to go home to our families at night and be safe."
Craig Renth | Service Technician

"Safety to me just means taking care of yourself; the guys on the job working safely so that we can enjoy our families and recreational activities when we are not at work."
Dan Tiefenbrunn | Sheet Metal Worker

"Safety means going home in the evenings the same way you came to work in the morning."
John Byrne | Sheet Metal Worker

"I think people take safety for granted. They’re anxious to get their day started and don’t realize all of the safety hazards that are associated with our work. If you just take a few minutes each day to pre-plan, I think everybody would work a lot more efficiently."
Brian Barteau | Sheet Metal Worker

"Safety means my life, your life and our well-being. It means not getting hurt on the job and definitely going home safe to our families."
Mike Albers | Pipefitter
