C&R Project: Pfizer – Building JJ Expansion
C&R Services:
- Building Type: Industrial
- Project Type: HVAC, Design & Build
Project Description:
On October 1st, 2008 C&R Mechanical Company began the drawing coordination process for Pfizer’s new expansions for Building JJ. We were chosen to lead this process which includes creating a 3D architectural and structural model, creating a 3D mechanical model, and assembling all the additional models providing collision checks along the way.
We installed over 240,000lbs of ductwork, 80 phoenix valves, fourteen exhaust fans, sixteen sound attenuators, seventy three HEPA filter terminals, and assisted with setting five large custom air handlers. The 3D coordination proved to be very successful with the installation of this equipment. The amount of material waste was minimal and the time spent to determine elevations in the field had been eliminated. We completed our scope of work in April of 2010
McCarthy and their subcontractors played a huge part in our success. This was a complete team effort and the reward was providing the customer with a state of the art facility.
