C&R Mechanical served as the general contractor and mechanical engineer for this mechanical HVAC upgrade, serving 64,640 square feet of space.
For this project, a variable air volume system and a low pressure duct distribution system was installed in order to serve every area of the building. The existing duct was left intact and was utilized for the new system. Also, a new air handling system (consisting of two air handlers) was installed into a new air handling mechanical room. An air cooled chiller was installed on the outside of the building, make-up air units were installed in the gymnasium, electric cabinet-style heaters were installed in entryways, boilers were replaced and VAV boxes and thermostats were furnished in each classroom and hallway.
