The systems serving the Administrative Offices and gift shops were designed to maintain a conventional environmental temperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit year round. Conversely, the main exhibit area of the attraction requires that temperatures are maintained at approximately 45 degrees Fahrenheit in order to provide the most suitable environment for the animals. The building is equipped with electric heat and chillers which are used to condition the water and the air in the exhibits.
